The UK Prime Minister is expected to urge allies to provide Ukrainian forces with additional advanced missile systems to strike Russian targets during a meeting in the UK capital on Friday.

Sir Keir is set to welcome President Volodymyr Zelensky alongside what's known as "group of committed partners", consisting of more than 20 of supporting nations who have agreed to grant the Ukrainian government protection commitments once hostilities pause is arranged.

Ukraine's president has been appealing for weeks for more advanced missile technology from the West, an action that the Russian government has warned would escalate the war.

The Prime Minister will press leaders to ramp up the delivery of extended-range systems following a successful operation on a manufacturing site in Bryansk, the Russian Federation, using UK-provided Storm Shadow missiles.
